[Golf Writers Association of America] ESPN.com's Harig: Burning Golf Questions for 2015

jessicarlo.blogspot.com - I ADMIT THAT I HAVEN'T GIVEN much thought to what 2015 will bring in the world of professional golf. In recent years much of the chatter when the calendar turns over is about Tiger Woods, his health and when (or if) he'll win a 15th major.

ESPN.com's Harig: Burning Golf Questions for 2015
Bob Harig
Now Tiger is 39 and the torch is passing, or has already passed, to the younger guard. Until Woods again shows us the form that produced 14 major wins, more and more of the focus will be on Rory McIlroy, the new king of the golf world, as well as an impressive supporting cast.

Bob Harig's column at ESPN.com illuminates many compelling golf story lines in 2015. And only one of his nine "burning questions" is about Tiger Woods.

Here's a sample:
8. Does Rickie Fowler turn numerous close calls into victories? It was a great year for Fowler in 2014 by any measure -- except victories. He was top five in all the major championships, an accomplishment in itself. But he failed to win anywhere and still is holding at one PGA Tour victory. Fowler had just begun working with Butch Harmon when the year began, so perhaps that is part of it. But victories instead of close calls would be welcome.
Harig asks and discusses some other very good questions:

Will Rory complete the career grand slam at Augusta in April?
Will Tiger be healthy this year?
Can Phil Mickelson win the U.S. Open to sew up his career grand slam?
Who will be picked as the next U.S. Ryder Cup captain?
How will the last year of anchored putting go?
How will Chambers Bay and St. Andrews stand up in the U.S. and British Opens?
What does the future hold for Dustin Johnson?
