Final exams ended not with a bang, nor a whimper, but with a heavy snore. I'm at my parents' house hanging out with my brother and sister. Spring break is only a week long, so I'll have to make the most out of it in terms of reading, hanging out with friends and family, and sleeping. :) I'm taking a course on Vampires in Literature this coming quarter. You can probably guess at least one of the books that we'll be reading.>

>Check out my blog tour stop for Jewel of the Thames and enter to win a free eCopy of this wonderful novel! I've read it and totally recommend it. >

>This week, I finished:>

1. The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien>

>
I ended up reading the bulk of these two novels during the last week of my Tolkien class. The Two Towers is my favorite installment of the trilogy - it flows so much better than The Fellowship of the Ring. The Return of the King left me feeling pretty bummed out about the end of the quest, because their paths separate and the hobbits have to say goodbye to all the awesome people they'd met on the road. Having put up with Aragorn for so many pages since the beginning, I was sad to see him go, too. Hope I didn't spoil anything.>

I'm almost done with this book! Noble Smith interprets Tolkien's philosophy into ways that we could apply to our lives. It's been a peaceful read, and a wonderful reminder of what's important in life.>
A story about two brothers fresh out of adolescence who move out of their toxic home environment to achieve their dreams of a better life. But their path to success is full of obstacles: they struggle to make ends meet as they go to college while working migrant jobs. >
I'm trying to finish this before I hit the theaters with my hubster-bear-pie later this week!>

Thanks for reading! Take good care.>
